The Health Management Branch of the Chinese Society of Geriatrics held the 2025 academic Conference on "Science and Technology Leading Health, Actively Enjoying Old Age"
On the morning of April 11, 2025, an academic conference with the theme of "Technology Leading Health, Actively Enjoying Silver Age" was successfully held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), hosted by the Health Management Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society and organized by the Civil Affairs Vocational College. The conference aims to implement the "Healthy China Initiative (2019-2030)" and the major strategic deployment of "comprehensively promoting the construction of a Healthy China", to discuss policies and industrial development for positive and healthy aging, and to study the professional construction and talent cultivation path of smart health and elderly care.
The opening and closing ceremonies of the conference were presided over by Sun Jinhai, Vice President of the Health Management Branch of the Chinese Society of Geriatrics and director of the Department of Military Health Management at Naval Medical University. Tu Qilei, president of the Health Management Branch of the Chinese Society of Geriatrics and dean of the College of Elderly Welfare at Civil Affairs Vocational University, extended a warm welcome to all the experts and colleagues present at the opening ceremony. We earnestly hope that through this conference, we can exchange and discuss the research progress and strategic application of elderly health management. We look forward to everyone pooling their wisdom, drawing on the strengths of others, and working together to enhance the risk assessment and management capabilities of elderly health and promote the cultivation of compound health management professionals.
The experts at the conference delivered seven keynote speeches. Professor Hu Jianzhong, focusing on the integration of medical care and elderly care, expounded on his thoughts and practices regarding the combination of medical care and elderly care. Researcher Hao Xiaoning shared the model of multiple diseases coexisting among the elderly in the context of chronic disease management in an aging society. Professor Tu Qilei proposed a new coupling approach for community health management to ensure that every elderly person has a secure old age. Professor Yan Hua shared the latest developments in the health management industry. Professor Wang Ying explained the three-level comprehensive prevention and treatment measures for Alzheimer's disease in the community. Professor Xu Huafeng shared cases and experiences of comprehensive prevention and control of chronic diseases around the three-level prevention. Professor Zheng Jiaoyang shared the new progress in the prevention and treatment of diabetes in the elderly.
The meeting was respectively attended by Professor Sun Jinhai, Associate Professor Yang Yang, Professor Liu Lijuan, Professor Li Yumei, President Fu Hailong and Professor Chen Cuihua, who gave wonderful comments on the keynote reports of each expert.
A total of over 150 people attended this academic conference. The speakers had in-depth exchanges on seven main topics, including the latest frontiers in the application and development of health management under the silver economy, policies and industrial development for active and healthy aging, research on the professional construction and talent cultivation of smart elderly care, and health management discipline education. The speeches were rich and varied, promoting and contributing to the high-quality development of the elderly health cause. It has contributed to building a more harmonious aging society.
