Since the establishment of the Branch in July 2017, in order to implement the national construction of healthy China and practice the purpose of the Chinese Geriatric Society, with the goal of improving the knowledge update and technological innovation level of vascular diseases in the elderly, and promoting the prevention, management and innovative application of vascular health in the elderly, the national academic exchange conference on peripheral vascular diseases in the elderly has been held every year. At the same time, we will further promote the prevention and control of elderly vascular diseases and the clinical and technical treatment to the grassroots. A total of 300 expert reports, more than 500 topics, more than 10,000 participants online and offline.
Every year during the Double Ninth Festival, the Branch organizes the National Committee to hold a large-scale free screening clinic and education activity of "Ninth Ninth Festival and Geriatric Medicine Day - Focusing on Vascular health of the elderly" in the region. In Beijing, Shanghai, Changsha, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Lanzhou, Guiyang, Hengyang, Baise, Dali, Yibin, Mianyang, Suining, Dazhou, Deyang, Zigong, Wenjiang and other cities and regions, nearly 150 experts and nearly 200 volunteers participated in the free diagnosis and education activities, and the total number of free diagnosis and education was more than 5,000 people.
On the occasion of celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party, in response to the theme activity of "Education in Revolutionary Holy Places and inheritance of Red genes" of the General Assembly, the standardized prevention and treatment education activities for elderly vascular diseases in the old Red Revolutionary old areas of the country were held, and well-known experts from all over the country were invited to conduct academic exchanges with their local counterparts. Red lectures were held in South Lake of Jiaxing, Zhejiang, Jinggangshan, Jiangxi, Gutian, Fujian, Baise, Guangxi, Zunyi, Guizhou, Yan 'an, Shaanxi, Beijing and Shenzhen. In addition, he organized and wrote the chapter "Medical and Technological Innovation of peripheral Vascular Diseases in the Elderly" in Geriatric Medicine and Technological Innovation. Popular science books "Deep Vein Thrombosis" and "Varicose Veins of Lower Limbs" have been written and published, and "Chinese Expert Consensus on the Prevention and Treatment of VTE in the Elderly" has been published, providing guidance for the prevention and treatment of VTE in elderly care institutions and elderly people at home. At present, the branch experts are organizing to write the "Chinese expert Consensus on the Diagnosis and Treatment of Chronic Venous Diseases in the Elderly", which will be released at the annual academic conference of the branch this year.
