On April 13-14, 2024, the Cognitive Disorders Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society (ACDC) successfully held the "Standing Committee of the Cognitive Disorders Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society and the First Academic Conference in 2024" in Luoyang, Henan Province.
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is an age-related disease and the most common cognitive disorder, affecting about 50 million people worldwide, with about 7 million new cases each year, according to the World Health Organization. China has the largest number of Alzheimer's patients in the world, and the annual growth rate of more than 300,000. The importance of prevention and treatment of Alzheimer's disease has become increasingly prominent and has become an important public health problem worldwide. Whether in the early or late stage of the disease, we should actively face it and take measures as soon as possible to delay the disease process and improve the quality of life of patients.
This academic conference brought together more than 100 experts, scholars and industry representatives from all over the country in the field of cognitive disorders, and nearly 2,000 people participated online to discuss the related cutting-edge research results, diagnosis and treatment progress and future development trend of Alzheimer's disease prevention and treatment. The cognitive Disability branch organized participating party members to carry out party building activities at the memorial hall of the Eighth Route Army Office in Luoyang during this meeting. The experts reviewed the glorious course of the Eighth Route Army during the Anti-Japanese War, remembered the great achievements of the revolutionary martyrs, and encouraged every Party member to inherit and carry forward the revolutionary spirit, not forgetting the original heart and bearing in mind the mission. This party building activity not only deepened the understanding and perception of the revolutionary history of the participating experts, but also further enhanced the cohesion of the team and the sense of responsibility.
