Luoyang, Henan Province is located in the hinterland of the Central Plains, not only has a long history and culture, but also a red hot land. As the birthplace of the first Party organization in Henan, Luoyang witnessed the founding of the Luoyang Group of the Communist Party of China, igniting the fire of revolution in the Central Plains. The Memorial Hall of the Eighth Road Army Office in Los Angeles and the Memorial hall of the birthplace of the Luoyang Group of the Communist Party of China show and record the work and revolutionary spirit during the Anti-Japanese War. Under the leadership of the Party, the people of Luoyang actively participated in the revolution and made great sacrifices and efforts for the independence and liberation of the nation.
The second stop of the series of activities of the Chinese Geriatric Society Anesthesiology Branch "Walking to the grassroots" was held in Luoyang, Henan Province in 2024 to inherit the revolutionary spirit and promote the development of grassroots anesthesia. The event was led by Prof. Wang Guolin, President of the Chinese Geriatric Society Anesthesiology Branch, Tianjin Medical University General Hospital, and Prof. Mi Weidong, Honorary President of the Branch, the First Medical Center of the PLA General Hospital. Professor Liu Jin of West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Professor Min Su of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, Professor Yang Jianjun of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, Professor Yu Jianbo of Tianjin Nankai Hospital, Professor Li Juan of the First Affiliated Hospital of the University of Science and Technology of China, Professor Xie Keliang of the Standing Member and Director of the Branch, Professor Xie Keliang of the General Hospital of Tianjin Medical University, Chinese People's Liberation Army Professor Song Xiaoyang of Ministry War Zone General Hospital, Professor Lu Xihua of Henan Cancer Hospital and Professor Ma Li of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People's Hospital participated in this activity.
On the afternoon of April 12, the PLA Joint Logistics Support Force 1989 hospital department guidance session, Professor Wang Guolin, Professor Min Su, Professor Xie Keliang, Professor Song Xiaoyang, Professor Mali and other experts participated in the in-depth guidance of the department. First of all, the literature director of the 1999 Hospital of the PLA Joint Logistic Support Force expressed his heartfelt thanks to the experts and made a detailed introduction to the history and current situation of the hospital. At the same time, Professor Wang Ling, director of anesthesiology Department of 1989 Hospital of PLA Joint Logistic Support Force, made a detailed introduction from the aspects of department structure, equipment configuration and scientific research status. Director Wang Ling said that although the scientific research capacity of the department is in a leading position in Luoyang, there are still problems related to the shortage of anesthesia talents, insufficient equipment and the need to replace the original equipment. After listening to the introduction, the experts first expressed great recognition of the development of the department, and combined with their own experience, put forward constructive suggestions on the development of the discipline, including optimizing the preoperative evaluation, intraoperative medication and monitoring, increasing anesthesia and related technical training, and strengthening the construction of anesthesia nursing team. On-site medical staff cherish the opportunity of face-to-face communication, and actively put forward their problems encountered in the course of clinical work, and the experts did detailed answers.

On the morning of April 13, more than 150 anesthesia professionals from more than 30 hospitals in Luoyang participated in the academic training.
