In 2024, the first stop of "Health Lecture Hall" was held in Baoan, Shenzhen
On January 9, at the beginning of the New Year, Fan Li, president of the Chinese Geriatric Society, personally led a team of experts to Shenzhen Bao 'an to carry out the "Health Lecture Hall" activity, which opened the journey of the Chinese Geriatric Society's "Health Lecture Hall" series of activities into the Greater Bay Area in 2024.
The "Health Lecture Hall" series of activities is a brand of the Chinese Geriatrics Society to fulfill its social responsibility and practice its mission. This activity fully integrates expert resources and sinks their profound academic atatments and rich practical experience in the field of geriatrics to the grassroots level. Through various ways such as grassroots support, popular science lectures, free consultation, etc., it injects new vitality into grassroots geriatric medical services, disseminates correct health concepts to the society, and improves public health literacy. Jointly practice the new model and new path of health services for the elderly. More than 100 events are held every year, benefiting millions of elderly people, and getting wide attention and high recognition from the society.
At the launch ceremony, Li Hongtao, Deputy governor of Baoan District, and Fan Li, President of Chinese Geriatrics Society, delivered speeches respectively, and Xing Sizhong, Director of Baoan District Health Bureau, introduced the activities in detail. This activity presented more than 200 copies of the popular science series "Caring for the Elderly" to public hospitals in Bao 'an District.
In the health lecture hall activity, Professor Zhang Qiujian, chief editor of Practical Geriatric Psychological Care, gave a lecture on the New Career Prospects of Geriatric Psychological Nurses, and 13 experts from cardiovascular, endocrinology, geriatric medicine and other disciplines also gave wonderful lectures on their own research fields. And in-depth clinical departments face to face to listen to department reports, carry out teaching rounds, case discussion, discussion guidance.
On the afternoon of the same day, the expert group joined hands with Baoan District People's Hospital to carry out large-scale free clinic activities in the streets of the district, and nearly 100 elderly patients came to consult, they said that they did not expect to enjoy the high-level service from Beijing experts at their doorstep. The expert group said that it will continue to carry out special lectures, large-scale free clinics, sympathy visits and medical assistance activities in Baoan District Government, district public hospitals and streets under its jurisdiction, so as to provide continuous help and support for improving the diagnosis and treatment level of hospitals in the Greater Bay Area and the quality of elderly health services.
