The Academic Annual Meeting of Anesthesiology Branch of Chinese Geriatric Society Held in 2023
The 2023 Academic Annual meeting of the Chinese Geriatric Society Anesthesiology Branch was successfully held in Zhengzhou, Henan Province on December 1-3, 2023. This academic conference is co-sponsored by the Chinese Geriatric Society Anesthesiology Branch, Henan Provincial Anesthesiology and Perioperative Specialist Alliance, and hosted by the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University and the General Hospital of Tianjin Medical University. With the theme of "Enjoying the beautiful Setting Sun, Sharing the Love";, the conference aims to build a broad platform for learning and exchange for experts and fellow practitioners in geriatric anesthesia and related fields from all over the country. Share the latest progress of anesthesiology and carry out academic discussion.

President Fan Li, Professor Wang Guolin, Professor Yang Jianjun and Professor Wang Changzeng delivered speeches at the opening ceremony respectively. President Fan Li, Professor Zeng Yingming, Professor Mi Weidong and Professor Zhao Yuanjin respectively delivered keynote reports on the topics of ";Thinking on the Development of Geriatric Medicine in China", "It is wise to blame others Weakly and be good at blaming oneself";, "Construction and Application of Prevention and treatment platform for perioperative complications of the elderly" and "Bionic organ Chip";. The opening ceremony was co-chaired by Professor Cao Jiangbei, Vice President of the Anesthesiology Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society, and Professor Xie Keliang, Standing member and Director General.
The conference lasts for three days, Well-known experts in geriatric medicine were invited to focus on perioperative hot issues in the elderly, integrated pain management, scientific research and transformation, circulation and volume management, perioperative monitoring and maintenance of important organ functions, perioperative cognitive function assessment and protection, pulmonary complications in lung protection, perioperative management of elderly comorbidity, perioperative key issues in elderly patients, and accelerated rehabilitation strategies for elderly surgery , research and application of new drugs and technologies, perioperative brain health and other topics to give academic lectures. During the meeting, the "National Committee of the Anesthesiology Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society", the "Expert Consensus on perioperative blood protection for the Elderly" finalized meeting, and the ";Strategiing to eliminate pain is a good strategy for Mulberry Elm"; perioperative management case collection and display activities were also held. The participating experts discussed the basic research and clinical advances related to anesthesiology in depth, shared the latest experience of their respective teams, and talked about the bright prospects of development.
2023 National Committee of Anesthesiology Branch of Chinese Geriatric Society
A total of 64 speakers and 30 hosts were invited to the conference, all of whom were top scholars from the field of anesthesia and geriatrics in China. The number of offline participants exceeded 800, and the delegates spoke highly of the content and organization of the conference. The successful holding of the conference effectively promoted the homogenization of the perioperative management level of elderly patients in China, such as pre-anesthetic assessment, organ function optimization, refined anesthesia management, perioperative analgesia, and accelerated rehabilitation, promoted the development of geriatric medicine and geriatric anesthesia in China, and contributed wisdom and strength to the realization of healthy aging.
