Academic Annual Meeting of Neurology Branch of Chinese Geriatric Society Held in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province in 2023
October 28-29, 2023, directed by the Chinese Geriatric Society, sponsored by the Chinese Geriatric Society Branch of Neurology, Xi 'an Third Hospital, Affiliated Hospital of Northwest University, and Xi 'an Trade Union Hospital jointly organized the "2023 Annual Academic Meeting of the Neuromedicine Branch of Chinese Geriatrics Society (the second and Third National Committee) and the Academic Conference of Xi 'an Neurology Quality Control Center" in the academic lecture hall of Xi 'an Third Hospital, and the online conference was broadcast simultaneously.
The academic conference was chaired by Professor Geng Touche, President of Neuromedicine Branch of Chinese Geriatric Society, and Vice President Professor Tian Ye. Xu Xiaodong, Vice president and Secretary General of the Chinese Geriatric Society, and Zhao Inheritance, Deputy Secretary General attended the meeting. Xu Xiaodong, Vice President and Secretary General, Qian Lu, Vice President of Xi 'an Third Hospital, Professor Jiang Wen, Chairman of the Neurology Branch of Shaanxi Medical Association, and Professor Geng Duoche, President of the Neurology Branch of Chinese Geriatric Society, delivered speeches respectively.
Xu Xiaodong, Vice President and Secretary-General, on behalf of the Chinese Geriatric Society and President Fan Li, expressed sincere congratulations on the smooth convening of the forum, and pointed out that the Chinese Geriatric Society aims to develop geriatric medicine and serve the health of the elderly, unite the people with aspirations in the industry, gather social resources, and carry out work around the national strategy of ";promoting the construction of healthy China and actively responding to the aging population". The Branch of Neurology has always aimed at diseases closely related to the elderly, as the key direction of research, members from all over the country have given full play to their advantages and characteristics, actively carried out academic research, professional exchanges, personnel training, science popularization and other activities, and have done a lot of effective work. Xu Xiaodong, Vice president and Secretary General, put forward the hope of transforming expert influence into brand effect and academic guidance into standard guidance for the branch, and thanked the experts and scholars for their wisdom and strength for the cause of geriatrics.

More than 200 neurology-related medical workers from medical units at all levels of the country participated in the offline meeting. At the same time, it also attracted thousands of fellow online learning, the live video click-through rate of more than 10,000, the network message is enthusiastic, and the academic atmosphere is strong.
In order to fully demonstrate the style and strength of young doctors, the conference also invited eight outstanding young doctor representatives to share difficult cases. They took the wind to pursue their dreams and were passionate. Clinical cases of neurological intervention, greenway construction, NIID, leprosy peripheral neuropathy, central nervous system autoimmune disease, central nervous system vasculitis, NCSE, Kennedy disease and other related difficult and critical diseases were reported and shared respectively, and were fully affirmed and encouraged by the review experts.
After the academic conference, Mr. Geng Dtouche, president of the Neuromedicine Branch, held a committee of the whole to summarize the work performance of the branch in 2023, and put forward the work plan of the branch and the outlook for the future. Finally, Vice President Tian Ye summed up the success of the conference at the closing ceremony.
On October 27, Xu Xiaodong, Vice president and Secretary general of the Chinese Geriatric Society, and Zhao Jianguo, Vice Secretary General of the Chinese Geriatric Society, visited and investigated the work of the Chinese Geriatric Society, and listened to the reports of Geng Duoche, President of the Chinese Geriatric Society, Tian Ye, Vice President of the Chinese Geriatric Society, Wang Yi, Director General Ge Wei and some Standing Committee members, as well as the suggestions and opinions of experts on the development of the society. Vice President Xu Xiaodong and Deputy Secretary-General Zhao conducted in-depth discussions with the participating experts on the current development and planning of the society. The leaders of the association hope that all colleagues in the industry can base on academics, focus on geriatric nervous system diseases, uphold a rigorous scientific attitude, unite medical and scientific research workers, adhere to the scientific, rigorous, truth-seeking, pragmatic academic tradition, continue to start, build on the past, and make more contributions to the prosperous high-quality development of medical science.
