The Fifth National Elderly Vascular Health Management Summit Forum, the Fifth Guangming Cardiovascular Forum and the Eighth Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Vascular Forum were held
On December 3-4, 2021, the Fifth National Vascular Health Management Summit Forum for the Elderly, the Fifth Guangming Cardiovascular Forum and the Eighth Deep-Hong Kong-Macao Vascular Forum were successfully held in the form of online/offline combination. The conference was organized by the Peripheral Vascular Disease Management Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society and hosted by Shenzhen Hospital of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, West China Hospital of Sichuan University and Shenzhen People's Hospital.

Professor Fan Li, president of the Chinese Geriatric Society, pointed out in his speech that with the rapid development of aging in China and the impact of poor lifestyle, the incidence of cardiovascular diseases and peripheral vascular diseases has risen rapidly, which has brought serious harm to national health. In recent years, with the improvement and development of the medical level at all levels of the country, new technologies, new therapies and new products continue to emerge, so it is very important to build an inter-regional academic exchange platform, strengthen the advancement of prevention and treatment, and strengthen the research of medical transformation. Since the establishment of the Peripheral Vascular Disease Management Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society, under the leadership of President Zhao Jichun, Professor Wang Tao and other vice presidents and the efforts of all members, we have been living up to our trust, taking academia as the foundation and the branch as the platform, and actively creating a national high-end academic brand forum and conference. It has held five large-scale academic conferences such as "Summit Forum on Geriatric Vascular Diseases" and "Bright Cardiovascular Forum";, and has done a lot of work in the academic development, technological innovation and application of achievements in the field of disease diagnosis, treatment and treatment management, and has made great contributions to the development of geriatric medicine. Especially at the centennial of the founding of the Party, in Jinggangshan, Gutian, Yan 'an, Zunyi and other old revolutionary areas, eight consecutive "VTE prevention and control wisdom cloud tour" were held, the Double Ninth Festival free clinic was carried out, the grassroots tour was carried out, and the grassroots help was carried out, which truly practiced the revolutionary spirit of not forgetting the original heart and passing on the fire. The holding of these activities has also greatly promoted the popularization and development of knowledge and technology for the prevention and treatment of vascular diseases in the elderly, improved the standard diagnosis and treatment level of vascular diseases in the elderly, and contributed to a healthy China.

The opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by Wang Tao, executive Chairman of the conference, Vice president of the Peripheral Vascular Disease Management Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society and Professor of Shenzhen Hospital of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
This conference has eight special sessions, including Grand aorta, hemodialysis pathway, VTE two special sessions, chest pain special session, coronary artery special session, heart failure special session, electrophysiology special session. More than 60 experts from major medical centers across the country brought 55 wonderful lectures, especially invited experts from Jinggangshan and Baise and other old revolutionary areas to exchange and learn together to inherit the revolutionary spirit, and nearly 20,000 people watched the live broadcast, which was warmly received.
