2021 Geriatric Vascular Disease Summit Forum Held
On November 27, 2021, "2021 Senile Vascular Disease Summit Forum and the 10th West China Vascular Forum and the 3rd International Vascular Alliance China Branch Nursing Professional Committee Peripheral Vascular Group Academic Conference" was held online. The conference was organized by the Peripheral Vascular Disease Management Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society, West China Hospital of Sichuan University and Shenzhen Hospital of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Adhering to the purpose of "standardization, rigor, innovation, development, and combination of medical care", the conference conducted extensive discussions and exchanges on the screening, prevention and treatment, standardized treatment, innovative development, and combined management of elderly vascular diseases.
At the opening ceremony, Professor Fan Li, President of the Chinese Geriatric Society, Director of the National Clinical Medical Research Center for Geriatric Diseases (PLA General Hospital), Professor Li Weimin, President of the West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Professor Wang Yuqi, honorary leader of the Vascular Surgery Group of the Surgical Society of the Chinese Medical Association, former president of Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, Professor Wang Shenming, Vice President of the Surgical Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association and former president of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, and Professor Chen Zhong, head of the Vascular Surgery Group of the Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, President of the Vascular Surgeons Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, and Professor Chen Zhong of Beijing Anzhen Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University delivered speeches respectively, expressing their warmest congratulations on the successful convening of the conference. I would like to thank all the leaders and experts who have supported the conference and welcome all the participants. The guests spoke highly of the work of the Branch of Peripheral Vascular Disease Management of the Chinese Geriatric Society led by Professor Zhao Jichun. Since its inception, the branch has actively organized various academic exchanges and cooperation, continuously promoted collaboration in various fields and at various levels, led the development direction of peripheral vascular diseases of the elderly, and developed comprehensive concepts of diagnosis, treatment and management of vascular diseases of the elderly. The development, promotion and integrated application of new technologies, and regular primary academic tour activities on diagnosis, treatment and management of senile vascular diseases have made positive contributions to the development of geriatric medicine in our country. This forum will invite a number of well-known domestic experts to give wonderful reports, which will certainly bring an academic feast for the participants.
