The Chinese Geriatric Society Anesthesiology Branch was established on April 17, 2021, and is a second-level branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society. On July 30, 2021, the first stop of the series of activities of the Anesthesiology Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society "Sending doctors to the grassroots and benefiting thousands of healthy people" (Gannan Station) was successfully held in Hehe City, Gannan Prefecture, Gansu Province. The activity was led by Professor Wang Guolin, President of the Chinese Geriatric Society Anesthesiology Branch and General Hospital of Tianjin Medical University; Wang Yingbin, Director of the Second Hospital of Lanzhou University, Director of the Branch, Xie Keliang, director of Tianjin Medical University General Hospital; Deputy Director of the Branch, Li Yize, Deputy chief physician of Tianjin Medical University General Hospital; Director of Tianjin Teda Hospital Ma Haonan, deputy chief physician of Tianjin Chest Hospital Er Jianxu, attending physician of Tianjin Beichen Hospital Wang Cunbin participated in this activity, and Director of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture People's Hospital Lv Yonggang presided over this activity.

Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture is located in western China, southwest of Gansu Province, the northeastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the Tibetan population accounts for 54.2%, about 3,000 meters above sea level, living conditions are difficult, the medical level is relatively backward. Gannan Prefecture is a long-term assistance cooperation area of Tianjin. In the years of assistance, we have a deep understanding of the local medical environment. As a national key shortage of talents, anesthesiologists are scarce resources. Some primary hospitals may only have one anesthesiologist, and many equipment and technology, such as ultrasus-guided nerve block technology, many local primary doctors only hear its name, do not know what it is! What is lacking in primary medical institutions, we will make up for! Is the original intention of the anesthesiology branch to go grassroots series of activities.

President Wang Guolin said in his speech that he hoped to promote the homogenized development of anesthesiology medical level in Gannan Prefecture through grassroots activities. The main purpose of this activity is to carry out a series of hands-on teaching activities for grassroots hospitals, continue to improve the technical level of anesthesia medical personnel in Gannan prefecture, further improve the grassroots service capacity and the overall efficiency of the medical service system, and better meet the medical and health needs of the people of Gannan. Ultrasound-guided nerve block Workshop

 

During the expert lectures, Prof. Wang Guolin, Prof. Wang Yingbin, Prof. Xie Keliang and Prof. Ma Haonan respectively gave in-depth and simple explanations on the topics of "Ultrasound-guided TAPB and long-acting anesthetics in ERAS", "Anesthesia Management in obese Patients";, "Anesthesia Management and Prognosis in elderly patients" and "Practice of common lower extremity surgical nerve block in the elderly based on ultrasound imaging"; The difficult cases and hot issues encountered in the clinic were discussed. More than 100 anesthesiological medical staff from seven basic hospitals of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture People's Hospital, Zhuoni County First People's Hospital, Dibe County People's Hospital, Maqu County People's Hospital, Luqu County People's Hospital, Xiahe County People's Hospital and Lintan County People's Hospital participated in the study.

In the afternoon simulation training session, Er Jianxu, deputy chief physician of Tianjin Chest Hospital and Wang Cunbin, attending physician of Tianjin BeichenHospital, carried out simulation training of "nerve block in thoracic surgery"; and "nerve block in abdominal surgery", including paravertebral nerve block, erector ridge muscle plane block, anterior saw muscle plane block, TAP block and other important nerve block and fascia block techniques. The on-site academic exchange atmosphere was very active, the lecturers answered the questions of the basic anesthesiologists one by one, and conducted one-to-one simulation practice exercises on various nerve blocks. The students have said that this activity is a very rare learning opportunity for grassroots medical staff, is the real sense of grassroots hospital nerve block technology training, through this activity to enhance their professional skills, but also increased the experience exchange between peers, the training time is short, but significant, benefited a lot, and look forward to the arrival of experts again.

Through on-site teaching, teaching, summary and discussion, the event shared the cutting-edge knowledge of anesthesia, exchanged successful experiences, imparted practical skills, and promoted the improvement of medical service capabilities in Gannan Prefecture.
