The Expert Initiation Meeting of the "National Education Project on Standardized Prevention and Treatment of Thrombosis in the Elderly" of the Peripheral Vascular Disease Management Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society was held in Chengdu
On May 16, 2021, the expert launching meeting of the ";National Standardized Prevention and Treatment Education Project for Elderly Thrombosis"; of the Peripheral Vascular Disease Management Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society was held in Chengdu. The event was organized by the Peripheral Vascular Disease Management Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society and hosted by West China Hospital of Sichuan University.
Professor Zhao Jichun, President of the Peripheral Vascular Disease Management Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society, delivered a speech, welcoming the experts to Chengdu on behalf of the branch, and introduced the background of the project. In order to welcome the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party and promote the development of geriatric medical and health work in the old revolutionary base areas, the Peripheral Vascular Disease Management Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society plans to carry out a series of tour activities of "Standardized Prevention and treatment education Project for elderly thrombosis"; across the country, inviting well-known experts to enter the old red area and communicate with local medical personnel. The aim is to improve the overall level of local vascular disease diagnosis and treatment and thrombosis disease prevention and control. President Zhao Jichun said that most patients with aortic aneurysm and arterial venous thrombosis disease are the elderly, but the real attention to the elderly this group of research is not enough, the treatment is really more complicated, we need to strengthen the attention to the elderly patients.
Professor Wang Haiyang of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, Vice President of the Peripheral Vascular Disease Management Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society, and Professor Wang Tao of Shenzhen Hospital of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences conducted an in-depth analysis of the current situation of thrombosis prevention and treatment in elderly people in China. Subsequently, the participating experts jointly launched the "National standardized prevention and treatment of elderly thrombosis education project"; and made wonderful academic exchanges.
Professor Liu Jianlin from the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi 'an Jiaotong University gave a keynote speech on "New Progress in Anticoagulation Treatment and thrombosis Prevention";, Professor Huang Jianhua from Xiangya Hospital of Central South University gave us "Individualized Anticoagulation thoughts on elderly VTE";, and Professor Wen Xiaorong from West China Hospital of Sichuan University gave a talk on "Linchuan Value of ultrasound in venous thrombosis screening";. At the meeting, experts from the old revolutionary base areas, Professor Chen Quan from Gansu Provincial People's Hospital, Professor Wu Huping from Dazhou Central Hospital, Professor Yuan Ping from Guizhou Provincial People's Medicine, Professor Shen Huaqiang from Bazhong Central Hospital, Professor Zhang Shengjun from Yan 'an University Affiliated Hospital, Professor Yuan Ding from Sichuan University West China Hospital, brought wonderful experience sharing and interactive discussions on the standardized treatment of thrombosis in the elderly. The academic atmosphere is strong. At the end of the meeting, the work of ";National standardized prevention and treatment of elderly thrombosis education project"; was made specific planning.
This launch meeting marks the official start of the 2021 "National standardized Prevention and treatment of elderly thrombosis Education Project";, and hopes that through the development of this project, more elderly patients with vascular diseases, especially VTE patients, can obtain early prevention, timely diagnosis and treatment, and continuous management, improve the quality of life of elderly people, and help achieve the grand goal of "healthy China"!
