Clinical Skills Improvement Class for Geriatricians (Phase I) and Training Course on Comprehensive Assessment Technology and Application for the Elderly Held in Beijing
In order to further promote the development of the cause of geriatrics in China, promote the training of geriatrics talents, and cooperate with the national medical and nursing policy, according to the geriatrics training work plan of the Chinese Geriatrics Society, A series of geriatric training programs - Clinical Skills Improvement Class for Geriatrics (Phase I) and Comprehensive Assessment Technology and Application training course for Geriatrics, co-sponsored by the Chinese Geriatric Society and the National Clinical Research Center for Geriatric Diseases (PLA General Hospital), was held during the "2018 Geriatrics International Summit Forum" from November 10 to 12, 2018.
The training object of this training course is the geriatric department, general department, cadre ward doctors of the Chinese Geriatric Society three-level training system hospital and the local medical union hospital, grass-roots medical institutions, and the backbone members of other disciplines of the geriatric multidisciplinary team. As well as general practitioners, rehabilitators, dietitians and other multidisciplinary team members of medical and nursing institutions at all levels who are interested in providing integrated services for the elderly.
The goal is to promote the construction of geriatric physician talent team, especially to improve the low level of geriatric clinical skills of geriatrics, general departments and general practitioners in medical institutions at all levels, and to promote the construction of geriatric medicine discipline. In order to further promote the development of geriatric medicine, promote the training of geriatric medicine personnel, and cooperate with the implementation of national medical care policy. 123 geriatrics doctors from 57 units in 21 provinces across the country signed up for the training.
The Chinese Geriatric Society has always been committed to working with each base of the three-level training system of the society to jointly promote the development of geriatric medicine and the personal growth of geriatric talents in each base.
1. The courses are rich in content, including the advanced progress of geriatric medicine as well as practical skills training such as comprehensive geriatric medicine assessment and debilitation assessment. It also includes a multidisciplinary teaching discussion of practical cases. Improve the personal quality and development space of geriatrics doctors.
Experts from home and abroad will be invited to give wonderful lectures on the construction of geriatric science, the clinical skills of geriatric multi-disciplinary team physicians, the cutting-edge progress in the diagnosis and treatment of geriatric comorbid diseases and geriatric asthenia, and the promotion of appropriate technologies for geriatric asthenia assessment and comprehensive assessment.
2. Teaching people to fish is also teaching people to fish, focusing on assisting the construction of gerontology in various bases and hospitals, so as to promote the training of geriatric talents faster and more widely. The content covers how to improve the construction of geriatric medicine discipline and geriatric medicine personnel training experience exchange meeting in each training base.
3. In addition to the training of geriatric clinical work skills, the training and research platform of geriatric clinical research skills should be increased. Jointly with the National Clinical Medical Research Center for Geriatric Diseases (PLA General Hospital) held a clinical multi-center research launch meeting on geriatric frailty assessment and key technology research.
