The Second Committee Election Meeting of Neurology Branch of Chinese Geriatric Society was held
On December 26, 2021, the second Committee election conference of the Neuromedicine Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society was held, and the meeting was carried out in a combination of online and offline.
Professor Fan Li, President of the Chinese Geriatric Society; Xu Xiaodong, Vice President and Secretary General; Zhao Jianxin, Deputy Secretary General; Professor Zhang Si, Chairman of the first Committee of the Neuromedicine Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society; Professor Xia Youbing, Party Secretary of Xuzhou Medical University; Professor Wang Renhao, Vice President of Xuzhou Medical University and Party Secretary of the Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University; Professor Geng Touche, Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Professor Wang Yi, Vice President of the first Committee of the Neuromedicine Branch. Xuzhou experts from the Branch of Neurology participated in the on-site meeting, and more than 800 experts from all over the country participated in the online meeting.
In his speech, President Fan Li congratulated on the successful holding of the second committee election conference of the Neurology Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society, said that the society will continue to strongly support the work of the branch, and hoped that the second committee of the Neurology Branch will adhere to the purpose of the society in accordance with the constitution of the society, and unite the experts in the field of neurology in the country. Give full play to professional advantages, work together, innovate and forge ahead, and make positive contributions to improving the diagnosis, treatment and management level of elderly neuro-related diseases in China.
Xu Xiaodong, Vice President and Secretary General read out the approval of the Chinese Geriatric Society Neuromedicine Branch to prepare for the change, and Professor Geng Detouche reported on the preparatory work of the Chinese Geriatric Society Neuromedicine Branch. Deputy Secretary-General Zhao Jianguo read out the "Report on the qualification examination of Committee members" and the election method.
According to the constitution of the Chinese Geriatric Society, the second committee and the leading team were elected in accordance with the prescribed procedures. Professor Geng Touche, Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University, was elected president of the second Committee of Neuromedicine Branch of Chinese Geriatrics Society, and Chen Wenwu, Guan Weiping, Hu Quanzhong, Lu Zhengqi, Shang Huifang, Tian Ye, Wang Tao, Wang Yi, Zhao Jing and Zhang Zhongling were elected vice presidents. Chairman Geng Dtouche nominated Ge Wei as Director General and Tuo Houzhen, Qun Sen, Xiong Nian, Gu Wenping, Zhong Shu and Gu Youquan as Deputy Directors General.
Professor Zhang Sai summarized the work of the first committee of the Neurology Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society, congratulated the newly elected leadership, and put forward hopes and requirements for the work after the change of the branch, hoping that the branch will continue to actively carry out all aspects of work, integrate resources and expand advantages through innovative cooperation with each member unit. Give full play to the platform effect and radiation effect of the branch, and constantly promote the rapid development of the discipline.
Professor Xia Youbing, Secretary of the Party Committee of Xuzhou Medical University, and Professor Wang Renhao, Vice President of Xuzhou Medical University and Secretary of the Party Committee of Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University, warmly congratulated Professor Geng Touche on his election as the second Chairman of the Neurology Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society, and said that the school and the hospital are willing to work together with their counterparts in the Neurology Branch. Promote professional exchanges and discipline development, and make unremitting efforts to improve the level of prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and disease management of geriatric nervous system diseases in China.
