On December 18, 2021, the "Founding Conference of the Telemedicine Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society" was held in Beijing. This meeting will be carried out in the form of online and offline combination. Xu Xiaodong, Vice president and Secretary general of the Chinese Geriatric Society, and Zhao Inheritance, deputy secretary General, attended the founding meeting. The meeting elected the first committee of the telemedicine Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society. Zhang Meikui, director of Telemedicine Department of Medical Support Center of PLA General Hospital, was elected as the first president of the branch. Sun Yongning from Shanghai Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Wang Bin from Wuhan Fourth Hospital, Wu Zhengzhi from the First Affiliated Hospital of Shenzhen University, Xu Jing from the First Hospital of Jilin University, Yang Li from Yan 'an Hospital of Kunming City, Zhang Qiang from Qinghai Provincial People's Hospital, and Zhang Zhenjiang from Telemedicine Department of the Medical Security Center of PLA General Hospital were elected as vice presidents of the branch. President Zhang Meikui nominated Ma Ying of the First Medical Center of the PLA General Hospital as the General director of the branch, and Cheng Shaorong of the First Medical Center of the PLA General Hospital as the deputy director of the branch.
