On April 17, 2021, sponsored by the Jiangsu Provincial Health Commission and the Provincial Aging Office, the launch ceremony of the 2021 Jiangsu Province Elderly health Science Project, which aims to further implement elderly health promotion activities, popularize elderly health knowledge, enhance elderly health awareness, and improve elderly health literacy and level, was kicked off.

More than 100 elderly people participated in the event.

After the launch ceremony, in the discussion with relevant leaders of government departments, President Wang Hong put forward preliminary ideas on how to promote the popularization and development of palliative medicine in Jiangsu, which was fully affirmed and supported by relevant leaders and instructed to make full use of the "life education" section of the online platform of "Jiangsu Province Elderly Health Science Popularization Hall" to carry out palliative medicine education and publicity to the public.
