The General Election Conference of the Cognitive Disorders Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society and the Academic Forum on Cognitive Disorders were successfully held
On November 07, 2020, the General Election Conference and Academic Forum on Cognitive Impairment of the Cognitive Impairment Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society (ACDC) was held in Beijing. The meeting adopted a combination of online and offline mode.
Attending the conference were Academician Chen Lin of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Deputy Secretary-General Li Chaoyang of the Chinese Geriatric Society, Director Zhao Jianguo of the Organization Department of the Chinese Geriatric Society, Professor Wang Zhenfu of the PLA General Hospital, Professor Jia Jianjun of the Institute of Geriatric Medicine of the PLA General Hospital, as well as managers and experts from medical institutions at all levels, elderly care, universities and other institutions, online and offline participants nearly 500 people.
The conference is divided into two phases, the first phase is the general election conference. Presided over by Professor Wang Yongjun of Shenzhen Kangning Hospital, Director Zhao Inheritance of the Organization Department of the Chinese Geriatric Society read the "Approval of the Chinese Geriatric Society on the Preparation for the Change of the Cognitive Disorders Branch". Jia Jianjun, director of the Preparatory Committee of the Cognitive Impairment Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society, summarized the work of the first committee of the Cognitive Impairment Branch from the aspects of organizational construction, academic exchange and cooperation, academic achievements and development, talent training and international vision. The election process was completed in a solemn and orderly atmosphere. 685 members and 89 standing members of the second Committee were elected by online secret ballot. Ye Qinyong, Ning Yuping, Xiao Jun, Zhang Zhanjun, Qu Qiumin, Xu Jun, Cao Yunpeng, Zhang Junjian, Wei Wenshi and Wei Chuibai were elected as vice presidents of the second Committee of the Sub-Committee. Jia Jianjun is the chairman of the second committee of the Sub-committee. President Jia Jianjun nominated Wang Yongjun as Director General and Li Xuemei, Gong Mei, Sun Xuan, Tao Wei and Wang Shanshan as Deputy Directors General.
Li Chaoyang, deputy Secretary-General of the Geriatric Society, expressed the most sincere congratulations to the new leadership team, and suggested that the branch continue to make full use of the characteristics of multi-professional cross-border integration, build a communication platform, mobilize the forces of all parties, and jointly push the construction of the field of cognitive disorders to a new height.
The second stage is the academic forum on Cognitive impairment. Chen Lin, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, was invited to give a special report on ";The Basic Unit of Cognition: The Basic Variable of Measuring Cognitive ability in Old Age", which was warmly welcomed by the participants!
Professor Xu Jun of Beijing Tiantan Hospital and Professor Yu Jintai of Shanghai Huashan Hospital respectively interpreted the National Health Commission's "Work Plan for Exploring the special Services for the prevention and Treatment of Alzheimer's Disease" and "The whole Process Management and Scientific Prevention and Treatment of Alzheimer's Disease", providing more ideas for the prevention and treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
Since then, we have conducted all-round and multi-angle academic discussions on the latest hot spots in the field of cognitive disorders.
Professor Xiao Jun from Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital and Professor Gu Ping from the First Affiliated Hospital of Hebei Medical University respectively provided the latest, most scientific and most comprehensive theoretical knowledge from the perspective of "Research Progress of language disorder in Alzheimer's Disease" and "Research on the impact of circadian rhythm Disorder on Cognitive Function".
Professor Ye Qinyong from Union Hospital of Jianhe Medical University and Professor Zhou Yuying from Huanhu Hospital of Nankai University both explained the wonderful contents of "Difference between Subjective cognitive impairment and MCI in functional MR" and "Pathological Characteristics of vascular cognitive Impairment" in a simple way.
Finally, President Jia Jianjun made a summary of the branch forum, and first of all gave full affirmation and high evaluation to the work of the new election and academic forum. At the same time, it pointed out that under the guidance of the Chinese Geriatric Society, we continue to work together, actively respond to the implementation of the National Health Commission's "2030 Healthy China Planning Outline"; notice and the spirit of the Chinese Geriatric Society's "Proposal";, and make new and greater contributions to reducing the heavy burden of geriatric cognitive disorders in China to the family society and promote social harmony and stability!
