Establishment of the Precise Diagnosis and Treatment Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society
On April 23, 2022, the founding meeting of the Comorbid Precision Diagnosis and Treatment Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society was held in Beijing in the form of a combination of online and offline. Fan Li, President of the Chinese Geriatric Society, Wang Chen, vice president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Academician Gao Runlin, Academician Zhou Honghao, and Academician Han Yailing attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Xu Xiaodong, Vice president and Secretary general of the Chinese Geriatric Society, and Zhao Jianguo, deputy secretary General attended the meeting.
Fan Li, president of the Chinese Geriatric Society, delivered an online speech and congratulated the Chinese Geriatric Society on the successful opening of the founding conference of the Comorbid Precision Diagnosis and Treatment Branch. I would like to express my gratitude to all academicians and experts for their help and support in the establishment of the Branch. She said that China's aging problem has become increasingly prominent, cerebrovascular diseases, hypertension, coronary heart disease, diabetes in the elderly population high prevalence, but also a serious threat to the health of the elderly. The increase in the prevalence of comorbidity has led to increased difficulty in treatment. Multiple drug use is very common in elderly patients, which increases the incidence of drug interactions and adverse reactions, seriously affects the safety and reliability of drugs, threatens the health of patients, brings great harm to the health of the elderly, and poses challenges to the standardized treatment of comorbidity. Technologies such as precise personalized drug use gene detection and concentration monitoring provide strong support for rational drug use and reduction of adverse drug reactions in elderly patients. In addition, the promotion and application of minimally invasive technology and surgery will also play a very important guarantee for elderly patients to reduce pain, prolong survival and improve quality of life. It is hoped that after the establishment of the comorbbiosis Precision diagnosis and Treatment Branch, it can unite experts across the country, better give full play to professional advantages, teamwork, innovation and progress, and combine advanced means, minimally invasive intervention technology and personalized medicine in these fields of precision medicine to seek some new solutions for personalized diagnosis and treatment of elderly patients, and improve the overall level of personalized precision treatment of elderly patients in China.
Academician Wang Chen said that with the intensification of aging, the comorbidity problem of the elderly group is particularly prominent. "Accurate diagnosis and treatment of comorbidity" is a very important proposition, which captures the actual problems faced by current medicine. How to provide personalized treatment for elderly patients and improve the quality of life of the elderly needs to be deeply thought and discussed by the entire medical community. Academician Gao Runlin, Academician Zhou Honghao and Academician Han Yaling expressed the hope that the Chinese Geriatric Society of comorbis Precision Diagnosis and Treatment Branch will take on the important task of promoting, preventing, diagnosing, controlling, treating and healthy development of the comorbis of the elderly, develop academics, promote exchanges, and contribute to the development of geriatric medicine and promote healthy aging.

Prof. Yin Tong of the Second Medical Center of PLA General Hospital, Prof. Zhou Zhou of Fuwei Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Prof. Chen Xiaohong of Liaoning Jinqiu Hospital, Prof. Cilia of Yantai Affiliated Hospital of Binzhou Medical College, Prof. Luo Zhiguo of Cancer Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, Prof. Peng Nancai of Precision Engineering Institute of Xi 'an Jiaotong University and Prof. Zhang Wei of Pharmacology Institute of Xiangya Hospital of Central South University were elected Vice presidents .
President Zheng Jingang nominated Jin Ying as Director General and Li Zeng, Ren Jingyi, Yang Hang, Li Xiaoqi, Zhang Lanning and Sheng Zhaoxue as deputy directors general.
