Celebrate 38 Women's Day · Send health to the grassroots
- Experts from the Gynecology Branch went deep into rural areas to carry out free clinic popularization activities
Recently, the Gynecological branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society and the gynecological expert team of the People's Hospital of Longgang City, Zhejiang Province, in order to celebrate the arrival of the 38 Women's Day, went deep into the village of Gantou to conduct a general survey of elderly gynecological diseases, cervical cancer screening and popular science activities of pelvic floor dysfunction diseases.
The event attracted the participation of many local villagers, aged between 55 and 78. The experts found a high incidence of pelvic floor dysfunction among local elderly women, with 21 of the 23 examined having mixed urinary incontinence, with varying degrees of various types of genital prolapse, and significantly affecting the patient's daily life. In the process of communicating with patients, it was found that most people's health knowledge was very lacking, and they thought that it would be like this when they were older, which was normal and difficult to talk about. Through this free diagnosis and education, we realize that this is a disease, we should treat it early, and we know what department to go to. Through this free clinic, the experts also had a certain understanding of the local gynecological health status and the local health awareness level, and accumulated experience for continuing and popularizing relevant activities in the future.
