The 6th Geriatric Vascular Disease Summit Forum of the Peripheral Vascular Disease Management Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society was held in Chengdu
On August 11-13, 2023, "The 6th Summit Forum on Senile Vascular Diseases and the 9th Western China Vascular Conference and the 12th West China Vascular Forum and the 2023 Peripheral Vascular Group Academic Conference of the Nursing Professional Committee of the China Branch of the International Vascular Alliance" was held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. The conference was directed by the Chinese Geriatric Society, hosted by the Peripheral Vascular Disease Management Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society, and hosted by West China Hospital of Sichuan University and Shenzhen Hospital of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Professor Zhao Jichun, President of the Peripheral Vascular Disease Management Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society and the West China Hospital of Sichuan University, served as the chairman of the conference.
On August 12, the grand opening ceremony was held. Xu Xiaodong, Vice President and Secretary General of Chinese Geriatric Society, Deng Dongfei, Deputy Secretary General, Zhao Jiancheng, Honorary Group Leader of Vascular Surgery of Chinese Medical Association, Professor Wang Yuqi of Zhongshan Hospital of Fudan University, President Li Weimin of West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Many well-known experts attended the opening ceremony, such as Professor Chen Zhong of Beijing Anzhen Hospital, Professor Wang Shenming of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, Vice President and Secretary-General Xu Xiaodong, President Li Weimin, Professor Chen Zhong, Professor Wang Shenming and Professor Wang Yuqi delivered a speech at the opening ceremony to congratulate the conference.
Vice President and Secretary-General Xu Xiaodong, on behalf of the Chinese Geriatric Society and President Fan Li, expressed sincere congratulations on the successful convening of the forum, and pointed out that the Party's 20th National Congress clearly raised "promoting the construction of healthy China and actively responding to the aging population" as a national strategy, providing a broad space and major opportunities for the development of geriatric medicine and the society. Since its establishment, the Peripheral Vascular Disease Management Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society has closely focused on the social needs of the elderly, under the leadership of President Zhao Jichun, with the joint efforts of all members and the full support of national experts, held a series of academic conferences on peripheral vascular diseases of the elderly every year, which has high authority and social influence. It has made a positive contribution to promoting the academic development, technological innovation, personnel training, knowledge popularization and achievement application of the management of peripheral vascular diseases in the elderly in China. This forum invited many well-known experts to share the results of the innovative development of the diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases in the elderly, which will certainly bring wonderful academic feast for the participants, help improve the diagnosis and treatment level of clinicians, and bring greater well-being to protect the vascular health of the elderly. It is hoped that the Peripheral Vascular Disease Management Branch, based on a new starting point and a new journey, will forge ahead and strive to improve the discipline construction of elderly peripheral vascular disease management and the overall level of national vascular disease management, and contribute more wisdom and strength to the innovation and development of geriatric medicine!
The Chinese Expert Consensus on the Prevention and Treatment of Venous thromboembolism in the Elderly was officially released
After the opening ceremony, a press conference was held on the Consensus of Chinese Experts on the Prevention and Treatment of Venous thromboembolism in the Elderly. The consensus leader, Professor Zhao Jichun, President of the Peripheral Vascular Disease Management Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society and Sichuan University West China Hospital, briefly introduced the background and process of the consensus preparation. It is hoped that the development and promotion of this expert consensus can provide scientific and follow guidance for the prevention and control of VTE for the elderly people in home care, institutional care and non-hospitalization, help to timely discover, reduce and prevent the risk of VTE in the elderly, improve the prevention effect and treatment level of VTE in the elderly, and thus ensure the health and quality of life of the elderly.
At the same time, the conference held a special activity of ";Chinese Expert Consensus on the Prevention and Treatment of Venous Thromboembolism in the Elderly", the first half was the interpretation of the "Chinese expert Consensus on the prevention and Treatment of Venous Thromboembolism in the Elderly", the second half was the "Chinese expert Consensus on the Diagnosis and Treatment of Chronic Venous disease in the Elderly" (draft for comment) review meeting and project preparation meeting. Prof. Zhao Jichun presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. Prof. Zhao Yu, Prof. Wang Tao, Prof. Guo Pannifan and Prof. Huang Jianhua presided over the meeting. Through academic exchanges and discussions, the participating experts aimed to clarify the understanding and understanding of the prevention and treatment of venous thromboembolism in the elderly, strengthen clinical practice guidance, provide better prevention programs, and promote the development of health management and public health work for the elderly, so as to improve the prevention and treatment level and effect of venous thromboembolism in the elderly.
At noon on August 13, Professor Zhao Jichun, President of the Peripheral Vascular Disease Management Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society, made a summary of the forum at the closing ceremony, and Professor Wang Tao, Executive Vice president, presided over the closing ceremony. President Zhao Jichun pointed out that the conference lasted for three days, the conference was rich in content and involved in a wide range, including a theme forum, the Western Vascular Conference, introduction, case-sharing session for young physicians with new acoustic peripheral vascular intervention, a special session on aorta and carotid artery, and a special session on peripheral arteries and veins. A number of academic special sessions, including the Peripheral Wave Power Session, the medical integration session and the Interpretation of the Chinese Expert Consensus on the Prevention and treatment of venous thromboembolism in the Elderly, invited 232 experts and brought 233 wonderful lectures, which achieved complete success.
