Public Health Service Branch Holds 2023 Seminar on High Quality Development of Chinese Hospitals in Beijing
On June 18, 2023, the "2023 Series of Seminars on High-quality Development of Chinese Hospitals" sponsored by the Public Health Service Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society was successfully held in Beijing. This conference was strongly supported by the Chinese Geriatrics Society and the Institute of Public Policy, Renmin University of China. The meeting focused on rational drug use and information management for the elderly and the application of drug vision. Fan Li, President of Chinese Geriatric Society, Xu Xiaodong, Vice president and Secretary General attended the meeting. Fan Li, president of the Chinese Geriatric Society, gave a keynote speech on Rational Drug Use in senile comorbiditis. President Fan Li pointed out that the problem of medication for elderly patients with comorbidities is both a practical and a social problem. Under the background of China's rapid economic development, the problem of aging has gradually become prominent, and the comorbidity of old age is the focus of our country's elderly diseases. At present, the standardized management of senile comorbidity faces great challenges, but the opportunity is greater, and the implementation of precision medicine is imminent. With the development of science and technology, the diversity of drug gene testing has promoted the development of geriatric medicine, which has created a metabolism and early warning model of multiple drugs for geriatric comorbidity, and launched a multidisciplinary clinic for geriatric comorbidity.
President Fan Li divided the management of rational drug use for elderly comorbidity into three parts: drug dosage, drug taking time and drug safety management, and made a specific explanation. President Fan emphasized that doctors, pharmacists and nurses are the leading forces of rational drug use for the elderly, and can effectively realize the intervention and management of safe drug use for elderly patients.
