Series of "Going to the Grassroots" Activities of the Anesthesiology Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society-Baise Station
Baise City, Guangxi Province is located in the southwest border of the motherland, shouldering the responsibility of guarding the southern gate of the motherland.
The third stop of the series of activities of the Chinese Geriatric Society Anesthesiology Branch "Walking to the grassroots"; in 2023 was held in Baise City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The event was led by Professor Wang Guolin, President of the Chinese Geriatric Society Anesthesiology Branch and General Hospital of Tianjin Medical University, and Professor Liu Jingchen, the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University, and Professor Liao Qin, the Third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University. Professor Chen Gang from Run Run Shaw Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, Professor Wang Yongwang from Guilin Medical College, Dr. Huang Hai from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Chinese Medicine, and Mr. Wang Xin, Deputy director General of Tianjin Medical University General Hospital, participated in this activity. At the same time, Professor Huang Zehan, chairman of the Branch of Anesthesiology of Baise Medical Association and director of the Department of Anesthesiology of the Affiliated Hospital of Youjiang Medical College for Nationalities (Clinical Medical College), participated in the whole process.
In the afternoon of June 2, the department guidance session was led by Professor Wang Guolin, with the participation of Professor Wang Yongwang, Professor Huang Zehan, Deputy Director General Wang Xin and Doctor Huang Hai. First of all, Cen Guanglv, director of the Department of Anesthesiology of Baise People's Hospital, made a detailed introduction to the situation of the department from the aspects of personnel, business scope, equipment and facilities, and put forward the difficulties encountered in the development of anesthesia outpatient service, labor analgesia and pain diagnosis and treatment, and prepared difficult clinical cases to request experts to give guidance. First of all, the experts expressed great affirmation of the development of the department, pointing out the necessity of opening anesthesia clinics, and how to communicate with hospitals and patients about the advantages of anesthesia clinics in shortening the average length of stay, ensuring patient safety and reducing average costs. The pilot work of integrated pain service is an important work deployment made by the country under the background of aging society. Hospitals should vigorously support the development of pain business, build a good ward, and do a good job of integrated pain management. For the anesthesia management of elderly comorbid critically ill patients, the experts gave guidance from the aspects of preoperative evaluation, choice of anesthesia mode, intraoperative medication, intraoperative monitoring, postoperative recovery and follow-up. In addition, on-site medical staff actively asked questions about their problems encountered in clinical, teaching and scientific research, and experts gave detailed answers to the questions raised.

Prof. Wang Guolin, Prof. Liu Jingchen, Prof. Chen Gang, Prof. Liao Qin and Prof. Wang Yongwang respectively conducted training courses on "Application of Long-acting local anesthetics in ERAS", "Research Progress on Myocardial Injury after non-cardiac Surgery", "Anesthesia Management of fragile Brain", "Selection of intravenous anesthesia drugs in comfort Medicine";, "Surgical anesthesia Management Strategy for elderly acute Trauma"; and "Thoracic and abdominal nerve Block" "As the topic, from the perioperative management of elderly patients, comfortable medical treatment, research and application of innovative drugs, ultrasound-guided thoracic and abdominal nerve block practical training and other aspects of in-depth analysis and wonderful lectures.
President Wang Guolin presented to the Department of Anesthesiology of Baise Basic Hospital "National Advanced Health Professional Technical Qualification Examination Guidance Anesthesiology", "National Advanced Health Professional Technical Qualification Examination Exercise Series Anesthesiology Exercise Collection" and "Clinical cardiovascular Anesthesia Practice". Hope to be able to help the training of high-level anesthesia talents in Baise area.
President Wang Guolin said that the grassroots activities of the Anesthesiology Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society were carried out on the red land of Baise, which is an important embodiment of the implementation of the "healthy China"; strategy, sinking high-quality resources, helping the revitalization and development of the old revolutionary base area, and helping the homogenization and high-quality development of the hospital. It is hoped that the grass-roots series of activities can help and offer suggestions for the improvement of anesthesia service capacity in the old revolutionary base areas, and make due contributions to promoting the homogenization of medical treatment and treatment in the country.
