The meeting collected a total of 74 cases from 49 hospitals in 13 provinces and cities across the country.
After multiple rounds of review and evaluation by 13 domestic clinical and pharmaceutical experts in the early stage, the final selection was made
12 high-quality classic cases were shared and exchanged through this conference.
Professor Fan Li, president of the Chinese Geriatric Society, attended the opening ceremony online and delivered a speech, pointing out that with the aggravation of China's aging population and the continuous change of people's lifestyle, chronic non-communicable diseases have gradually become a major public health problem plaguing society. With the implementation of the ";Healthy China 2030" plan, the comprehensive prevention and treatment of chronic diseases has been promoted to the national level, and it is imperative to strengthen the health guidance and comprehensive intervention of common diseases and chronic diseases of the elderly.
Professor Yin Tong, executive vice president of the Comorbidity Precision Diagnosis and Treatment Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society and the Second Medical Center of the PLA General Hospital, said in his speech that cardiovascular disease, as a high incidence disease of the elderly, has a higher proportion of comorbidity with other diseases. Comorbidities will inevitably lead to a high risk of multiple drug use and adverse drug reactions. Therefore, to explore how to apply precision medicine represented by pharmacogenomics to actively deal with the problem of cardiovascular comorbidity in the elderly is the original intention of holding this seminar.
Academician Zhou Honghao from Xiangya Hospital of Central South University and Chinese Academy of Engineering is invited to make a keynote speech. As a pioneer of personalized medicine in China, Academician Zhou made a comprehensive and systematic introduction to the development track, application status, application prospect of precision medicine for cardiovascular diseases, as well as the application of advanced genetic testing technology in the cardiovascular field. In addition, Academician Zhou also introduced the diagnosis of rare cardiovascular diseases and the application prospect of new gene loci based on GWAS research in disease diagnosis. Finally, Academician Zhou combined his future development prospects for precision medicine, introduced the clinical application path based on pharmaceutical care model, pointed out the direction for how to better apply precision medicine to clinical practice, and contributed a wonderful academic report for online and offline delegates!
In the case study session, representatives of clinical and pharmaceutical workers from 12 hospitals in 9 provinces and cities in China exchanged cases and shared their experiences, experiences and lessons in the application of pharmacogenomics to clinical practice. Sharing topics include how to use drugs based on homozygous mutation of warfarin metabolic gene in patients with atrial fibrillation and hypertension, how to choose antithrombotic drugs in patients with ACS and stroke, and how to give individualized drug treatment in patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular comorbiditis and pulmonary fungal infection. The participants made wonderful comments on the content of the case, and launched a heated discussion, and also put forward a lot of constructive opinions on the case sharing representatives. There was a strong academic atmosphere and a full house.
Professor Yin Tong concluded the meeting, saying that the Chinese Geriatric Society comorbiditis Precision Diagnosis and Treatment Branch will continue to unite clinical and pharmaceutical experts across the country, give full play to professional advantages, collective wisdom, innovation and progress, and combine advanced means, minimally invasive intervention technology and personalized medicine in the field of precision medicine to seek some new solutions for personalized diagnosis and treatment of elderly patients. In order to improve the overall level of individualized precision treatment for elderly patients in China, and contribute their own strength to the construction of healthy China.
