The First Station (Longyan Station) of the "Grassroots" Series of Activities of the Anesthesiology Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society in 2023
";The red flag leaped over the Ting River and went straight down to Longyan and up to Hangzhou." The scene of the unstoppable victory of the Red Army over the Jiang Army is still vividly remembered today, among which Longyan, as a revolutionary base, is full of red heritage, not less than the color of the year. Longyan City is located at the junction of Fujian, Guangdong and Jiangxi provinces in the west of Fujian Province. It is a famous old revolutionary base area in China and the core area of the former Central Soviet Area. It is the hometown of the Red Army and one of the important departure points of the Red Army's Long March.
The first stop of the series of activities of the Chinese Geriatric Society Anesthesiology Branch "Walking to the grassroots" in 2023 was selected in Tingzhou County Hospital, Changting City, Longyan, Fujian. The activity was led by Prof. Wang Guolin, President of the Anesthesiology Branch of Chinese Geriatric Society, Tianjin Medical University General Hospital, Prof. Mi Weidong, Honorary President of the Branch, the First Medical Center of PLA General Hospital, Standing Committee Member of the Branch, Prof. Zhang Liangcheng, Affiliated Union Hospital of Fuzhou Medical University, and Prof. Xie Keliang, Director General of the Branch, Professor Ma Haonan from Tianjin Teda Hospital and Dr. Huang Hai from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Chinese Medicine participated in this activity.
On the afternoon of February 24, Prof. Wang Guolin, Prof. Xie Keliang, Prof. Ma Haonan and other experts learned about the development of primary anesthesia in Longyan area in detail through the form of discussion, and visited the operating room of Tingzhou Hospital in person to conduct on-site guidance and exchange on the work related to surgical anesthesia. During this period, he put forward valuable opinions on the future development of the department (management and personnel training), scientific research and other issues in combination with the actual situation of the department, which benefited local doctors.
In the morning of February 25, the training activities were carried out in Tingzhou Hotel, President Wang Guolin said in his speech that he hoped to improve the medical technology level of primary anesthesiologists, standardize the operation process, improve the quality of primary anesthesiologists, and better meet the medical and health needs of the people of Longyan through grassroots activities and the combination of theory and practice. Zhong Meichang, president of Tingzhou Hospital of Fujian Province, warmly welcomed and thanked the experts for their visit, and said that the event will inject a strong force into the construction of anesthesia in Longyan City, become an important bridge for the transmission of advanced anesthesia technology and cutting-edge anesthesia concepts, and seek the well-being of the masses of Longyan. Wang Kaihui, director of anesthesia surgery Department, Tingzhou Hospital, Fujian Province, presided over the opening ceremony.
Prof. Wang Guolin, Prof. Zhang Liangcheng, Prof. Mi Weidong, Prof. Xie Keliang and Prof. Ma Haonan gave a presentation on the topics of "Application of nociception detection and clinical Anesthesia", "Considerations of Airway Management in the Elderly", "Blood Pressure - the Foundation of Perioperative Safety in the Elderly", "Attention to postoperative recovery of Patients" and "Nerve Block in Thoracic Surgery". In view of the difficult cases and hot issues encountered in the clinic, more than 110 anesthesiology medical staff from 17 basic hospitals such as Longyan First Hospital, Longyan Second Hospital, Longyan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shanghang County Hospital and Liancheng County Hospital were engaged in interaction and communication.
In the simulation training session, Dr. Huang Hai from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine led the training of "Nerve Tissue Workshop", which included paravertebral nerve block, erectoralis muscle plane block, anterior serrate muscle plane block, TAP block and other important thoracic nerve block and fascial block techniques. On-site academic exchange atmosphere is very active, one-to-one simulation practice drills, one-to-one questions and answers, so that grassroots medical staff gain a lot.
After the training, Professor Wang Guolin and Professor Mi Weidong presented the chief editor's book "Anesthesiology" and the matching exercise set to the representatives of the anesthesia department of Longyan District basic Hospital. It is hoped that it will contribute to the cultivation of high-level anesthesiologists in Longyan area.
A single spark can start a prairie fire. Through this activity, we hope that the seeds of advanced anesthesia technology and concepts can be deeply rooted in this land with tough red genes, and more new forces can be burst out in the process of transmission and absorption, so as to comprehensively promote the improvement of Longyan's anesthesia medical service capacity and promote the homogenization of anesthesia disciplines. At the same time, we believe that with the continuous development of grassroots activities of the Chinese Geriatric Society Anesthesiology Branch, it will effectively promote the development of grassroots geriatric anesthesiology in China and benefit the elderly population.
