The 8th China Geriatrics and Scientific and Technological Innovation Conference and the Consensus Seminar of the Cardiovascular Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Association were successfully held
On May 21, 2022, the "8th China Gerontology and Technology Innovation Conference and the Consensus Discussion of the Cardiovascular Branch of the Chinese Gerontology Society"; was held in Beijing in the form of online and offline combination. In his opening speech, Professor Fan Li, president of the Chinese Geriatric Society, stressed that the acceleration of the aging society in China has posed a severe challenge to the prevention and treatment of elderly patients with cardiovascular disease in China, and affirmed the work and remarkable achievements made by the Cardiovascular Disease Branch under the leadership of President Yang Yuejin. In particular, under the severe and complex situation of epidemic prevention and control, all members of the branch, in addition to devoting themselves to epidemic prevention, uphold the spirit of "no slack in fighting the epidemic and no stop in academic exchanges";, and always adhere to the purpose of ";focusing on the elderly, combining national conditions, based on evidence, and respecting experience", and work together to solve difficult problems such as insufficient evidence-based evidence for elderly patients. Actively exert the advantages of abundant expert resources of the branch, formulate consensus and promote experience for the key issues of standardized diagnosis and treatment of common cardiovascular diseases in elderly patients, and make contributions to continuously improving the prevention and treatment level of elderly cardiovascular diseases in China. The conference held as scheduled will once again play a positive role in improving the comprehensive treatment level of elderly cardiovascular diseases in China.
